Cookhouse: Line Cooks, Wait Staff, Kitchen Techs, Hosts, Bartenders, & Event Staff

Resort: Housekeeping, Maintenance/Groundskeeping, & Administrative Assistants

LINE COOKS:  You are the backbone of the restaurant. Must have a great work ethic, work well with others, keep a clean kitchen, and be able to work under pressure. Duties include food prep (chopping vegetables, handling raw meat, working with gluten-free and dairy-free food, or preparing sauces), cleaning, and cooking in many ways. Serv Safe is preferred but not needed. You will be expected to do the work asked of you in the way that you are trained to do the task. 

WAIT STAFF:  You are the face of our restaurant. You must be friendly, have great customer service, be a great coworker, must be able to multitask, and take orders using a POS system. Other duties include handling cash and credit cards and keeping the restaurant clean. Waitstaff may also be asked to work banquets, weddings, and other events.

BARTENDERS: You get to be the face of our mini-bar in our restaurant. We are an upscale casual restaurant and serve fun, upscale cocktails, wine, and artisan beer. No worries if you're not trained in this kind of mixing, you will be trained! You must be friendly, have great customer service, be a great coworker and team player, must be teachable and willing to learn, and must be able to multitask. Other duties keeping the restaurant clean, helping the servers prep for the day, and helping with closing procedures at the end of the night if that's a part of your shift. Bartenders may also be asked to work banquets, weddings, and other events.

KITCHEN TECHS: You keep the back of house running! You get to be a major help in several ways. Your job would be washing and putting away dishes, helping prep food, putting away truck deliveries, and more. You must have a team player attitude, be willing to help whenever and wherever it's needed, and have a positive attitude through it all.

HOSTS: You are the Cookhouse's first impression when guests walk through the door! You get to greet and seat guests and help the servers keep their tables organized. You will also take phone calls, take and organize reservations, and be a helping hand in the Cookhouse. You must have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.

EVENT STAFF: All of the above positions may be asked to work events, but if you want to be hired only for events, this position is for you! You would work weddings, family reunions, retreats, and any other event going on in our event center. You would help with catering, the bar, serving guests, making sure everything is staying stocked, making sure the bathrooms stay clean, and overall being a helping hand wherever it's needed. Most events take place on weekends, so weekend availability is a necessity.

HOUSEKEEPING: We pride ourselves on having beautifully clean cabins for our guests. It's their first impression when they check in for their stay, and they deserve to have somewhere clean and comfortable to call home for the duration of their time with us. Your job consists of stripping bedding and linens, doing laundry, and strictly following the provided cleaning checklist. It takes between 45-90 minutes with one other person cleaning with you to get a cabin completely ready from start to finish depending on the size of the cabin. You must be willing to work hard and not cut corners to get the job done sooner. It's a great summer gig! Most cleaning days will be on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. You will be paid hourly.

MAINTENANCE/GROUNDSKEEPING: This position is for anyone well-versed with easier electrical work, easier plumbing issues, and solid knowledge of equipment. You would check on cabins and buildings and make sure everything is operating correctly. This job would also include mowing, watering, weeding, planting, and generally taking care of the grounds of the resort and campground.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT: You are guests' very first impression when they check in in the office for their cabin or campsite reservation. You must have a positive, uplifting, and outgoing attitude to welcome people to the resort. You would make sure they are fully paid, help them with their check in process, tell them about the resort and what is available to them, and give them their keys to their cabin. You would also keep some emails organized and take phone calls when needed. The hours available for this position take place between Wednesday-Saturday 3pm-10pm.
